Good morning y'all...
Today I thought I'd share something with you that is about to dominate my life.
CHEERLEADING
No... Not the "GO TEAM GO" kind. This is competition cheerleading. This is hard and it can be dangerous. It can be even harder to coach. High school girls are hardly the easiest group to deal with. Especially when you have a large group of them. Y'all wanna talk about drama? There is some big time drama-tential there.
Anyway, the purpose of my post today is to share with you my heart for my team this year and to ask you to pray with and for us.
This is my list of desires for my team this year. We are young and inexperienced. We will more than likely not win a ton of competitions, but, that is not my goal....
I want my girls to embrace the spirit of Gideon (Judges 7). He knew that if he was going to have the victory over the Midianites, it was going to have to be a God thing. If we are going to have a "winning" season, it's going to be a God-thing. And I wouldn't trade it for a team of standing full tucks and amazing stunts.
I want God to use our inexperience and youth to point to Himself.
Can God use a cheerleading routine??
ABSOLUTELY
So, if you don't mind.... would you please pray with us this season. Pray that we are willing to pass any cradit on to the one who really deserves it. Pray that we can show love to other squads that we come in contact with. Pray that God works through us to show his love and power.
I'd really appreciate it.
