DIY Hanging Frames

Today's project was kind of an "Oh, look what I found" moment.

When looking through my stash of crafty stuff looking for something completely different the other day, I came across these MDF frames that were leftover from an order I had from a photographer friend of mine. These frames hold a wallet sized photo and are really cute.

Since I had so many, I didn't just want to hang them on the wall in Baby Girl's room, I wanted to make them into something special.

I had an idea in mind and hit my stash to dig out what I would need.
1. Paints that coordinate with the room.
2. Three MDF frames
3. Double pointed staples, you could also use those "screw in" loops.
4. Paint brushes
5. Ribbon or chain (I like the old chain)
6. I was going to use the duck tape to try and pull some of the paint off th esurface to distress these a little, but it didn't really work.... Oh well!

The first thing I did was paint the frames.
1. I put on a base coat of white.
2. I used two coats of paint on each frame.

After that, I used the staples to attache the chain.
3. I hammered the staples into the frames after measuring to make sure they were even.
4. I then began attaching the chain using my jewelry pliers.
This is the finished product... At least for now... I might add something to each one like a fabric flower or some decorative paint.

I actually think this thing is so cute and I'm so glad I found them!

This will be a perfect place to display some adorable pictures of Baby Girl!
